Copier Supplies and Support

Body

NMH Copier supplies are generally handled by the person responsible for the area where the copier is installed.  That means Dorm Heads, Department Chairs or Staff Directors.  Responsible users can also designate another person to be in charge, like a Dorm Staff member or administrative support staff.

Toner for copiers is is on an auto order system.  Toner that arrives as part of the auto order system is delivered to Information Technology (IT) and will be delivered to the copiers as needed.  If a copier shows a 'low toner' message and there is no toner available, let the Technology Service Desk know (servicedesk@nmhschool.org) so we can track it down for you.  If there is a 'toner out' message and there is none by the copier (MFD), please look around (in, under or around the MFD and also in any adjacent shelves or cabinets) or ask your department head in case they moved it.  IT monitors toner levels, so this shouldn't be an issue.

Paper supply is handled be the responsible person.  If you have a WB Mason account, you can order white copy paper under the institutional account (below).  The cost of all other paper (hole punched, specialty color, non-standard size, etc) is the responsibility of the department that is using it.  You can contact the Business Office to order paper for you if you don't have a WB Mason account.

Ordering copy paper from WB Mason:  Search for "recycled copy paper" and you want the WB Mason branded 30% recycled content by the case.  Choose "01816-6510 - General Inst/Paper" as the account.  Purchasing will probably catch it of you pick the wrong account, but it's better to just get it right the first time!

End users can submit their own support tickets with Canon if there is a non-supply issue with the copier.  This can be done be either scanning the QR code or calling the number from the support sticker on the copier.  A Canon technician will usually arrive by the next business day.  Paper jams can usually be solved by the end user.  The console will show a video to help you find then jam.  The videos are usually in several parts and will stop after each step, so make sure to watch all the parts.  Paper jams can usually be resolved without contacting Canon support, so if you can't find the paper jam please contact the Technology Service Desk (servicedesk@nmhschool.org)
