There are 2 methods to connect your MacBook to the Projector:

1 -Apple TV  Connect wirelessly using an Apple TV.

  1. Press the HDMI 1 or Apple TV button on the white, wall-mounted audio-visual panel.

  2. From your MacBook, click on the control panel icon from the menu bar (upper right corner), click screen mirroring, then find and click on the Apple TV device in your classroom (ex. BEV 017). The Apple TV should list the name for the room that you are in on the screen.

2 - HDMI Connection- Will work with streaming websites that do not allow over-the-air displaying with Apple TV.

  1. Use an HDMI cable to connect to one of the HDMI ports on the wall or floor (as in the large Gilder classrooms). You may have to disconnect the HDMI cable from the back of the DVD Player (In Bev or Library) and connect it to your adapter.

  2. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to your computer or to an adapter if needed (usually hdmi to usb-c) for your computer.

  3. Press the HDMI button on the White control panel. If HDMI 1 does not give a picture please try HDMI 2 (if available).

Sound Setup (For Apple TV and HDMI Setups)

The sound should now be going through your classroom speakers. If it is not please check your system settings on your computer.

Navigate to the sound options and make sure the output is set to the Apple TV you are using or the projector/HDMI option (if you are using an HDMI connection).
