General Usage
PLACING AN OUTSIDE CALL:
- Dial 8 and number Local (8,xxx-xxxx)
- Long distance (8,1,xxx-xxx-xxxx)
PLACING AN INTERNAL CALL:
- Dial 4 digit extension (3xxx).
- CONFERENCE (3 people max)
- With call in progress, ask party to hold, Press the Transfer button, Dial second party and announce conference. Press the Conf button (see in your display).
REDIAL
Press Redial to scroll through the last 5 calls you made.
- When you see the call you want to call press * (star button) and the number will be dialed.
GET TRANSFERRED CALLER BACK
- Press transfer button again
GET TRANSFERRED CALLER BACK FROM VOICE MAILBOX
CALL HISTORY
Note: Use the 4-sided dial to navigate and push the center of dial to choose
- Press Menu to view incoming/outgoing/missed calls
- Chose History
- Select Missed, Outgoing or Incoming calls
- Use 4 sided dial to scroll through calls
- Press EXIT button when finished.
CALL FORWARDING
- Call Forwarding-All Call
- Activate: Lift receiver. Dial * 2, dial destination and hang up.
- Cancel: Lift receiver. Dial # 2, and hang up.
CALL FORWARDING-BUSY - already set.
- Activate: Lift receiver. Dial * 6, dial destination and hang up.
- Cancel: Lift receiver. Dial # 6, and hang up.
CALL FORWARDING-DON’T ANSWER-already set.
- Activate: Lift receiver. Dial * 4, dial destination extension and hang up.
- Cancel: Lift receiver. Press # 4, and hang up.
DIRECT DIAL - To send a caller to a Voice mailbox without ringing a phone.
- Press Transfer, Dial 2400, Follow instructions.
BUTTONS ON YOUR PHONE:
FEATURE KEY
- Feature + 1 = Turns microphone on or off
RECALL
- Press Recall to get new dial tone
MIC
- Press the to turn Microphone on/off. Red lamp indicates MIC is on. To make a two way hands free call MIC must be On.
ANSWER
- Only available if there is no mailbox attached to number.
TRANSFER
- Press transfer, dial number, announce call or hang up. If extension is busy press Transfer to get caller back.
HOLD
- Press once to put a caller on hold. Press twice for
- “Exclusive hold” where only you can pick up. Press blinking green light to get caller back.
SPEAKER
- Press to talk hands free (Mic button needs for two way conversation).
MENU
- See Call History of all your received, missed and outgoing calls on your phone. You can also change your ringtone for internal and external calls.
Soft Keys (The Buttons Beneath the Screen)

HEADSET
- Press the Headset Key, to activate
- Your primary extension will illuminate (green)
- Press again to Hang-up.
ReDir
- Sends the current caller to your voicemail
DND
- Sends all calls to voicemail, until DND is turned off
Misc.
- Display Contrast - adjust lighter/darker, up/down on Dial
- Headset Volume - remove from hook, up/down on Dial
Ringer Volume - when ringing, up/down on Dial

To program a “Name” for a Speed Dial:
- Once activated you will see “NAME” in your display
- Press Name button
- Press speed dial button you want to name
- Spell out the name you want to add to button
- When done press >>> twice and see SET
- Press Set to save
Incoming Caller ID Name.
Add a name to any off campus number that frequently calls your line.
- Missed external calls
- Will show the last 3 missed calls to you from off campus..
Conference calls for 4 + people
- NMH uses A+ Conferencing for conference calling needs. This service can be used all over the world.
