How to Input Course Requests on NMH Connect

Before You Begin
Before entering your course requests in NMH Connect, please make sure you have completed the following steps as outlined in the course selection instructions:

  • Review the Course Request Information for your incoming grade
  • Review the Curriculum Guide and related resources to understand the full range of academic offerings at NMH
  • Review any additional materials related to specific programs or opportunities that may affect your course selection or registration
  • Discuss your course choices with your parent(s)/guardian(s) as part of your planning process
  • Create a course request worksheet to organize your first-choice and alternate course selections.

This guide will show you how to enter your course requests into NMH Connect.
 


Important
Course Selection and Course Request Submission  is not complete until you have submitted your course requests in NMH Connect.


Instructions
As an example, we will be adding courses based on this sample course request worksheet.

Step 1: Log in to NMH Connect
Log in to Okta and select the NMH Connect tile.

Step 2: Navigate to Course Requests
At the top of the screen, click on the “My Day” tab and select “Course Requests.”
Alternatively, you can access Course Requests directly from the main NMH Connect homepage.


 

Step 3: Search and Add Courses

  • Under Available courses, use the search bar to find your first-choice courses by typing in the course title.
  • When you select a course, a panel will open on the right side of the screen with course details. Click “Add course request” to add the course to your list of requests.
  • Repeat this process to add all of your first-choice courses, using your course request worksheet as a guide.

 

Step 4: Add Alternates
Once you have added a course, you may need to add alternate choices. 
In the My requests section:

  • Locate the course you just added
  • Click “Add alternate
  • Search for and select an alternate course
  • Click “Done” to save

Repeat this process to add all required alternates for each course, using your course request worksheet as a guide.
If you need to make a change, you can remove a course by clicking “Remove from my requests.

 


Important
Choose thoughtful and different alternates. These will be used if a first-choice course cannot be scheduled.


 

Step 5: Save Your Course Requests
Once you have added all of your first-choice courses and required alternates, click “Save” at the bottom left of the screen.

 

Be sure to save your work before leaving the page.
