Welcome to the summer NMH digital community!
Our email communications and online tools are an important part of NMH. These are the NMH systems you will need this summer:

Start here. Okta is our single sign-on tool and the dashboard for all your NMH apps. |
| Google |
We communicate using Gmail and do work in Google Workspace. |
| Canvas |
Canvas is your online classroom with course materials and assignments. |
Remember, Summer Session attendees will not be sent an account password and will need to set their own initial password using these steps.
The first step is to set up your Okta account. Let’s get started:
- Go to https://nmhschool.okta.com
- Click “Need help signing in?’ then “Forgot or Set password”
- Enter your NMH username. Your user name depends on your role.
- If you are a current NMH student:
- Nothing will change. You should see your summer class on your Canvas dashboard (if your class is using Canvas). You do not need to take any further steps.
- If you are an incoming NMH student (enrolled for the 2023-24 academic year):
- You should have already received directions to log in to your new NMH student account, if not please follow these instructions (not the ones you are reading!)
- If you are a Summer Session student:
- Your username is usually your first initial + last name + “-SS" (note the dash before SS).
- Click “Reset via email”
- Open the email account you used when applying and find the message from Okta. If you don't see it, be sure to check your spam folder.
- Click the green “Set or Reset Password” box.
- Create a password following all the requirements and be sure to remember it!
- The Okta app dashboard should open.
- Bookmark Okta in a very prominent place on your computer!
