Setting Up New Faculty Accounts in Okta

The instructions to activate your account are below.

  1. Go to nmhschool.okta.com.
  2. Click "Need help signing in?"
  3. >Click "Forgot or Set password?"
  4. Paste your NMH Email Address: it will be similar to flast@nmhschool.org in the text box under "Reset Password".
  5. Click "Reset via email".
    This will send a reset link to the email the Human Resources department has used to communicate with you in the past.
  6. Check for an email from Okta in the inbox for that email address (check spam and filters if you cannot find it).
  7. Follow the instructions in the email. You will be asked to create a password that meets Okta's requirements.
  8. Set up Duo multifactor authentication.
    Once you log in to Okta, you will also be asked for password recovery options. 
    NMH strongly encourages using both 'Mobile Phone' and 'Secondary Email' options.

Congratulations — that's it! You should now be at the NMH Okta dashboard and your account will be activated. From this screen you will be able to launch NMH provided tools including email, Canvas, and NMH Connect. There is also a helpful NMH Technology Overview which is linked in the letter from the Dean of Faculty.
