Connecting your Phone or Computer to the NMH Network

Devices in use on the NMH network (both wired into red jacks across campus and wireless on the NMH-MOODY or NMH-ACADEMICS networks) must be registered before connectivity will be functional. This is colloquially known as "NetReg," short for "network registration."

NMH Academic Wireless Information:
Network/SSID: NMH-ACADEMICS
Password: humanity

NMH Employee Wireless Information:
Network/SSID: NMH-MOODY
Password available upon request; faculty/staff only

How to register your device on the NMH network

  1. Log on to the wireless network with your device. The password for NMH-ACADEMICS is humanity. The password for NMH-MOODY can be provided to faculty and staff upon request. Note: at this stage, your device may claim that it doesn’t have an internet connection. This is normal.

  2. Open a web browser and navigate to netreg.nmhschool.org if you aren't redirected there automatically.

  3. Type in your NMH username and password in the fields provided. Note: iPhones will attempt to generate a "strong password" for this field. You will see a message that says, "iPhone created a strong password for this website."  To enter your NMH password, click Other Options, then Choose My Own Password.

  4. Read over the NMH Acceptable Use Policy.

  5. Click Accept to agree to the acceptable use policy and register your device.

  6. You will see a Registration Complete message.

Reboot your device. When it boots back up, you should have internet access.

Note: For security reasons, newer cell phones offer an opportunity to ‘randomize your mac address’ to increase security.  This is helpful in public WiFi settings, but at NMH this is not required.  By selecting to use ‘Phone MAC’ on an Android or turning off ‘Private Address’ on an iPhone you can reduce future registrations.
